Is karate for you?
Karate attracts people of all ages from a wide range of backgrounds, races and religions, irrespective of their ability or disability. Men, women, children and entire families all train with us. Why? Because they enjoy the physical and mental challenges, being part of a team as well as the chance to develop and process through the grades. On top of that there are fitness benefits too, so why not give karate a try?

Wendy and Shaun help people understand the philosophy and history of their chosen martial art, and teach them the skills they need to take part safely. Including:
- Prepare lesson plans
- Demonstrate warm ups, skills training, and physical conditioning
- Coach students by breaking down techniques into simple moves
- Develop individual training programmes
- Observe and assess students, and give them feedback on their progress
- Develop and practice your own skills
- Take responsibility for the health and safety of students, and for teaching safe training habits
- Promote classes
It also involves working with both adults and children, instructing them at an appropriate level.
